Rebecca Dennis, e-ryt 500 of Laughing Bodies returns to Gray Bear to lead her 4th fall retreat.

This weekend is a respite for those who feel the general pressures of the modern world.  Relieve yourself of cell phones and laptops.   Submerge yourself in a weekend that nurtures and supports the body’s need to slow down and rest.
Asana classes are taught twice a day; completely optional to attend!

Retreat is open to all levels from the novice to teachers.  Pranayama and meditation are also a part of the weekend.
Rebecca Dennis, e-ryt 500 has been teaching for over 10 years and has led 14 local and international retreats.  She has been practicing yoga for 28 years and has a 14 year meditation practice.  Her recent training with Mary Paffard has influenced her teaching style to include belly/core work as well as  focusing on the chakras within asana practice.  Poetry, philosophy as well as humor and music are all a part of Rebecca’s teaching.

Join us at Gray Bear: nestled in the rolling forest of the beautiful West Tennessee hills.  Located just outside Hohenwald, TN, 80 miles south of Nashville and 200 miles south west of Crossville.  ALL BODIES WELCOME!

Rate: $345/$320.00 prepay by August 1st.  Fee includes shared room in the main lodge.  Upgrades to private cabins are avialable, but register early as space is limited.

We are now taking reservations for our 2008 Yoga Vacation to Costa Rica, June 28th - July 5th, 2008. Rebecca Dennis, E-RYT 500 of Laughing Bodies along with Ruth Anne Lundeberg, E-RYT 500 and Josh Schumer, E-RYT200 of Mamanirvana New Yoga will teach daily morning yoga classes, late afternoon and evening workshops and seminars on yoga postures, meditation, chanting, yoga breathing, philosophy and personal development. All levels of yoga students, including absolute novices are welcome. All classes will either be co-taught by two teachers or led by one with another assiting. This way all students receive intensive personal help and support. Even folks who have never done yoga at home enjoy learning yoga at our yoga vacations. All classes are optional. We offer a special discounted price for spouses who aren’t interested in the yoga classes and workshops. Childcare is available through us by prior arrangement. A PDF which includes fees, lodging options and additional information on this retreat is also available for download.

Fees include all yoga activities, lodging and meals. It does not include tips for staff, air fare, excursions or spa treatments. We offer an early bird discount to those who pay in full by December 31st, 2007. Standard rate applies after that.

The daily schedule allows plenty of free time for trips to the beach and adventure excursions, or lazy hours relaxing in the resort’s hot tub and hammocks. Massages and spa treatments are offered on-site. July in Puerto Limon is “green season” 75-85 degrees with light rains. The scenery is at its most breathtaking at this time of year. Optional excursions include trips to remote pristine beaches (where you can ride a horse or learn how to surf); a world-class whitewater rafting trip; a “Rainforest Canopy Adventure” that takes you high up into the trees where you rappel from platform to platform; river and sea kayaking in national parks with abundant with exotic plants and animals; and many other trips. Samasati is a private, ecologically sensitive resort situated in the rainforest high over the Caribbean coast. The yoga hall, restaurant and guest rooms are hand-built from beautiful rainforest woods. Lodging is in private bungalows or in guest rooms in a small lodge. Meals are abundant, varied ovo-lacto-vegetarian buffets. The week of yoga, lodging and 3 meals daily are included one low rate. Space is very limited and we expect to sell out.
